Classical Music

Monday, March 16th, 2009

My teacher used to tell the class not to underestimate the power of song. He is a little eccentric, but he did inspire me to buy my first CD of classical music and I am grateful for that. This music is a lot for us, both mentally and physically.

A CD of classical music is ideal for people of all ages. My investment in the songs was due to a desperate attempt to do through a grueling language course . The history of the French language was a very attractive on paper, but of course it was a nightmare for me to speak.  I feared I would have to drop the class or get a bad grade.

An advice from the same teacher told me that I should be  listening to a CD of classical music before class. He also suggested that I listen to songs before studying and before taking the exam. I thought I had nothing to lose, so I added the music to my CD collection and began using it immediately. While listening, I seem to be capable of following the processing of information in the  classical music CDs. It was the fastest and most effective way to learn French . After listening, my tests have increased, too.
As the years went by, I added a CD of classical music after another to my collection. Many articles can be read on the benefits of listening to these compositions on a regular basis. It can greatly stimulate  the mind and concentration. Aside from this, it can also be a form of relaxation and unwinding after a long day.
Many advice has been heard for pregnant women about listening to classical music. It can stimulate the child in the womb, and make him mentally and emotionally active. The child can already hear the sound outside the womb and can greatly help in molding the child even before he is born.

Rock Music

Friday, November 7th, 2008
Everyone has listened to rock music as a child, but when you grew up in your relationship, it can change. When I listened to rock music, I was not aware of its history. For me, the rock ‘n roll was something fun to party when I was with friends, relax after school, or even cleaning my room. I wanted to go to rock concerts and trade CDs with friends. I knew that people in groups, and began to try to play music rock me. This is when things are more serious.

At that time I did not realize how interesting and complex rock and roll can get. The history of rock music is much more complex than most simplistic music of today would have you. It has its roots in the traditional African American music, Caribbean music, country, and many other styles. It has always been a music of rebellion, but the nature of the rebellion that has changed over the years. Sometimes, it was remarkably simple, while other times it was incredibly complex. In short, it is difficult to reduce to a simple explanation.

I realized early on that I wanted to be a rock musician. I only read a few books on bands playing rock ‘n roll, but I was absolutely fascinated by the lifestyle. Many of my friends practiced all the time listening to the same base band, but I realize that myself exposed to the diversity of influences is as important as practice. There are different kinds of musicians there, the more I studied the more I want to learn to do.

I started listening to music online. My choice is to Pandora. If you’ve never seen this site, you should verify. Basically, you can select any group or song you want and it creates a radio station based on this point. It plays songs in the same vein, often exposes you to groups that you’ve never heard of before. He plays songs of famous and those who are less well known, guaranteeing a wide variety of different musical influences. It is the greatest, I know to broaden your understanding of rock music. It has certainly worked for me. I spent three and a surprisingly progressive rock, incorporating elements of jazz, blues, and Caribbean music in a diverse mix. I even throw a few countries from time to time to spice things up.
